Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight: It’s Poppin

Hello crafty friends! Today Mama Elephant is featuring the stamp set called It’s Poppin on Day 2 of the Stamp Highlight week. This 4x6 set has 3 tall images with a cuter cat and a great big round balloon. I love the additional images provided, of confetti, to fill the balloons.

I made a full sized slimline card using the Slim Card Basics CC dies, and arranged some gently inkblended balloons in the upper half, using the Balloon Bunch CC die set. I cut each balloon individually and inked the edges using a small amount of distress oxide ink in pink, yellow, and aqua. I adhered the individual balloons onto the base and arranged over the stitched die cut strings on my sky panel. I added two layers of puffy clouds before adding two of the chunky kitties onto the scene.

I filled each of the balloons with some sparkly golden stars and added a few to the background. I finished this card off with a colorful stamped sentiment from the Way to Go stamp set and a bold striped background.

Designer Series: “Herd” It’s Your Birthday

Hello crafty friends! Davina here, to share my Mama Elephant Designer Series project. I am calling this slimline shaker card ‘Herd’ It’s Your Birthday, and I love the hot pink farm theme. The January Mama Elephant release is so adorable, with all of the farm themed products, and I combined quite a few on this landscape card.

I used the Slim Card Basics CC die set to cut the card base from hot pink cardstock, the pink gingham top layer with windows, and the white scalloped frame. I’ve been on a mission to put a dent into the sequin collection I have amassed, so don’t be shocked when I make a million shakers. I inked a bright blue sky onto a back panel the same size as the gingham layer, and framed it in with foam tape after placing a little red farm house in the top left corner. I filled it in with lots of bright clay confetti and added a grassy strip over the acetate, but under the gingham.

I stamped the farm house, flowers, and hay bales from the Little Agenda House stamp set. I know the hay images were intended to be bushes, but they worked perfectly for my farm scene hay piles. Then, I added a white picket fence that I cut using the Farm House CC die set. I cut two and covered the seam up with a little cow image. Next, I stamped a bunch of adorable teeny cows from the Little Cow Agenda stamps, and colored each differently. I arranged them across the bottom of my scene and got to work on my sentiment. I made a custom punny banner using the smaller Little Signage Agenda stamp set. The letter size was perfect. Once adhered, I glued some tiny iridescent stars all around the top.

Mixing and combining stamp sets is my favorite technique for making unique cards and scenes. I hope that you enjoy this scene, and thank you for stopping by,

Mama Elephant Designer Series Jar of Hearts

Hello crafty friends! Davina here, to share a sweet slimline card I made using lots of beautiful Mama Elephant products. my Designer Series project I couldn’t resist using the wonderful new Jar of Hearts stamps and Creative Cuts. I especially love the delicate bow and detailed lid, and how the dies cut them so perfectly and remove the little parts in the loops.

I decided to try and create a little gingerbread village across a slimline scene, and I only wish it had enough room for a sentiment on the front. Even though I couldn’t fit a sentiment on the cover, I really love how this candy cane lane.

I started by stamping out the jar, bow and lid 3 times. I heat embossed the lid on a shimmery cream paper that I gently inked the edges after die cutting. I also die cut 3 snow drifts using the jar die, and gently inking those with a very light blue.

I stamped and heat embossed some little houses and trees from Little Agenda Houses and a few cute cutie gingerbread men from Little Agenda Gingerbread onto Kraft cardstock. Then built my little jar scenes. After lining them up on the Slim Film City scallop layers I added some candy cane and gumdrop images that I stamped from Holiday Huggers and again the Little Agenda Gingerbread sets. I colored everything in shades of pink and added some sparkle from a Wink of Stella glitter pen.

I really love combining lots of sets and using them in unique ways. And if these little gingerbread jars don’t convince you to grab your Jar of Hearts stamp set and fill them to your hearts content, then I don’t know what will. I hope I’ve inspired you, just a little bit, with this card and that you make some gingerbread homes of your own. Thank you for stopping by,

Mama Elephant Stamp Highlights Yummy Snacks

Hello crafty friends. Today is the last day of a stamp Highlights from the Mama Elephant June Release, and today we are featuring the cutest Yummy Snacks. I absolutely adore these cute critters with all the delicious treats and had to use them all on one giant slimline.

I stamped and colored all of the wonderful large images using bright happy colors. Then, I die cut them all using the coordinating dies. I made the slimline scene by cutting out the Slim Comic Strip  slimline die 3 times, then glued them together. I adhered the die sit strip to a gently inkblended background panel that I splattered with white and iridescent ink. I arranged the images in and around the scene, and finished it off with a heat embossed sentiment strip. I love how the Star candy looks scattered around like confetti.

I hope you like this nice big scene, and take the time to see the rest of the incredible projects from the Design Team. Thank you for stopping by,

Next, I layered some grassy hills across the bottom. I adhered my critters across the scene and added a stamped banner sentiment. I finished this card of by adding holographic die cut stars using a star confetti die from the Party Scene Cover CC

Pretty Pink Posh May Blog Hop

Hello Crafty friends! Davina here, sharing brand new products from the Pretty Pink Posh May release. This beautifully curated release is full of items for all of our spring/summer events, like Graduations and Fathers Day, pretty bird themed sets, and more.

I especially loved these detailed Decorative Birdhouses Die Set. All of the pretty stitched details and various door options made it so fun to play with. I cut each house from Bristol Smooth Cardstock two times. With one of each design, I inkblended the house with Distress Oxide Ink, then secured the scallop and trim with washi tape from behind. I also added a little bit of marker detail to each house. Next, I adhered the white trim from my second die cut houses, layered on top, and used a darker marker to color the small strips. Then, I cut and added the doors to each little house.

I was so excited that the birds from A Little Birdie stamp set fit so perfectly with these houses. I stamped and colored three birds to add to my houses, and layered them onto a slimline cardbase that I gently inked.  I stamped the nice long branch from the Spring Birdhouses stamp set onto the cardbase as well. I intentionally left it as an outline so it wouldn’t distract from my little row of cute houses. I finished this off  with a heat embossed sentiment and a sprinkling of colored confetti from the new Rainbow Shimmer Confetti Mix

Make sure you “Hop along” all three days to see the incredible DT samples with this wonderful release,

Pretty Pink Posh June Release

Hello crafty friends. Davina here, “ Stomping by”, with a fun dinosaur filled slimline card using the amazing June Release. There are two new dinosaur sets full of the cutest images and accessories. I used both Dinosaur Friends and Dinosaur Additions to create this card.

I stamped and colored my images with bold primary colors, before using the coordinating dies to cut out my pieces. Next, I used a large stitched slimline die to cut layers for my background. I inked the layers and background using distress oxides in bold bright colors. Then I used Ranger Grit Paste and the Dinosaur Layer Stencils to emboss the footprints into my shorter layers.

I arranged the images onto the layers, and adhered them throughout, after stamping a sentiment toward the bottom, with the addition of the new “Hello” word die. Once everything was in place I finished it off with some sparkling sequins and layered it onto a red card base.

I had so much fun creating with the new playful release and I can’t wait to see what you come up with! Thank you for “stomping” by,

Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight: Celebration Hamsters

Hello crafty friends! Today Mama Elephant  is highlighting the super cute stamps and creative cuts Celebration Hamsters. I really love the cute hamster and the all the little party poses! I can’t pick a favorite image, they are all so great. I really enjoy that they match the small images from Little Hamster Agenda too. I really wanted to make a large slimline card for these cuties, so I would have plenty of room for very image and a large sentiment.

I started by cutting an aqua panel using the new B2B Slimline CC dies. I like that little bit of extra space these dies give you. They perfectly divide a standard 8.5 x 11 card into 3 equal sized pieces. That means I had plenty of room for these cute critters to fit on my scene. I made a glittery scalloped panel using the Slim Card Basics CC, and then a third panel from Bristol Smooth Cardstock using the the 2nd largest B2B slimline CC. I inked that panel with bright pink ink and gave a few splatters with glittery perfect pearls and white ink.

I stamped and colored all of the images using copic markers before cutting out with the coordinating dies. I arranged all of my images onto the scene leaving a few inches in the white bottom space for my sentiment. I stamped a lovely sentiment from Wishes Enclosed and adhered it to the open area. I decided I wanted a few little extra embellishments, so I stamped and colored the stars that are included in the set and glued them down around my images.

This entire release is amazing, and is so fun to create with. I hope you enjoy this card and get inspired to get crafty this weekend. Don’t forget to drop by the Mama Elephant Blog  to see all the wonderful cards from the entire team. Thank you for stopping by, Davina

Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight- Little Postage Agenda

Hello crafty friends! Today is the final day of the January release Mama Elephant Stamp Highlights. It has been such an honor to participate with the extremely talented Design Team this month and I wanted to thank everyone for all of their encouragement and sweet words. Today we are showcasing the super adorable agenda set called “Little Postage Agenda”. I really love this set and that it has a couple of blank stamps that you can fill with the included words images, or with any of the extremely cute Little Agenda sets. I use these agenda sets so much and love the versatility of the small detailed images.

I created a slimline card that I wanted to look like a fancy decorated envelope. I started with some patterned paper that I layered a sweet pink layer on top of. I die cut the pink cardstock with the postage die from the “Slim Film City” creative cuts die set. I gently inked the edges with a pink ink to give some depth, then stamped a pair of large flowers from the “Peonies In Bloom” using pink dye ink. In the center of the layer, I heat embossed the word Gorgeous from the “Scripty Notes” stamps, then cut the word Hello  from white cardstock using the “Whimsy Alphas” creative Cuts.

I stamped the postage stamps from “Little Postage Agendas” and created two custom stamps. Then I colored them up with copic markers and die cut using the coordinating dies. I arranged the stamps in the right upper corner then adhered the “hello” and stamped a couple of the smaller images from the set in different ink to make it look like it was a savvy traveler with all kinds of stamps and seals.

This cute slimline ended up being my favorite project of the bunch and I just can’t stop smiling at it. I can’t wait to see what kind of projects you guys create with this release. I will include links for all of the products used below, to the Mama Elephant shop

Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight- To My Dearest

Hello crafty friends! I’m so happy you stopped by, today we are highlighting the adorable new set called “To My Dearest”. I created a soft slimline card that also features a new die set, called “Combo Circles- Creative Cuts”.

I started by cutting a scalloped panel for my base layer, from striped patterned paper. I used the “Slim Card Basics-Creative Cuts” set for the scallop and for the smaller stitched panel that is layered on top. Next, I cut 6 scalloped circles from a soft coral cardstock. I gently inked around the edges of 3 of them, then layered alternating pairs of scallops to make full scallop circles. I used the stitched circles in the appropriate size, to adhere to center after inking them a deep blue and gently splattering.

I stamped and copic colored the cute envelope images, before cutting them out with the coordinating creative cuts. Then I added small white dot highlights before glueing them onto my inked scallop circles. I arranged the 3 scalloped images onto my slimline before adding two small little hearts from the set.

Normally, I’d go overboard adding all kinds of images and sequins etc., but this sweet slimline felt complete, and I was really smitten with the simplicity. I hope you like my card as much as I do. I will add links to all of the Mama Elephant products used below.
