Christmas is here with Davina

Hello Crafty friends! Davina here, to share some fun Christmas cheer with you today. I’ve said it many times, and I’ll say it again, the Mama Elephant Little Agenda series is one of my favorite collections of stamps. I love being able to add many little cuties onto my scenes, and i especially love combining them onto cover grid backgrounds.

The card I’m sharing today combines the new and adorable Little Elephant Agenda stamps, and the recent Elephant Cheer stamps. My favorite technique for using cover grid cover plates, is to layer a dimensional foreground at the bottom of the scene, while filling in the exposed grid with Agenda images. This is exactly how I built the card I’m sharing today.

I cut two panels from white cardstock, using the Globies Cover Grid, and glued them together for a little more structure. I used some glittery Champaign colored cardstock for the snow globe bases and adhered them at the bottom of each snow globe. After mounting the cover grid over some winter themed patterned paper, I mounted the whole thing onto a slightly larger striped panel from the same paper pack. At the very bottom of the grid I mounted a glittery stitched hillside using some foam tape. I filled that hillside with stamped and colored images from Elephant Cheer, and added sparkling Wink of Stella to the stars.

I added a Little Elephant Agenda image to each exposed snow globe window using a foam dot, and sprinkled a few die cut snowflakes around the card front. I finished the card off with the teeniest strip of a sentiment that I partially stamped from a different Mama Elephant Christmas set. I really love combining and mixing multiple sets onto my cards, and I always hope that my projects will inspire you to do the same. Thank you for dropping by, Davina

Pretty Pink Posh Christmas Cupcakes

Hello crafty friends. The beautiful October release from Pretty Pink Posh is available now and you will love it! This is the largest release ever and full of so much good stuff, like so many fantastic products to bring your winter and holiday projects to life. I created a tiered cupcake stand using the incredibly cute Christmas Cupcakes stamps and dies. I combined serial other new products and previously released items to being this fun card to life.

I started by using the pretty Pierced Snowflake Plate on Bristol Smooth Cardstock, and inkblending an ombré citrus green background. Once it was completely dry, I trimmed it down 1/4 inch, to  make room for a striped patterned paper background layer. I stamped the cute cupcakes and colored them in before cutting them out with the coordinating dies. I used the cake stand from last summers Fancy Cake Dies to pile on my cupcakes, then I added a bow from the new Holiday Mug Additions

I wanted to add some small stamped details and I found all of the images, and a sentiment, that I needed from one older stamp set. The Holiday Envelopes stamp set from last year had all of the great snowflakes, pine boughs, and the holly with berries images that I used. I stamped some of these in colored ink, including the sentiment, and added them to my treats. Finally, I adhered my images to the inky background, using foam tape behind the cupcake stand, and added my sentiment to a cute scalloped banner from the Sentiment Strips Dies

There are so many wonderful new products to play with and so much inspiration to see, so make sure you hop along with both the New Release Blog Hop and then the Instagram Hop, to see how magically the Design Team used the products and for your chance to win! Thank you for stopping by,

Davina

Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight Decorate the Tree

Hello friends. We are continuing the Mama Elephant Stamp Highlights for their 11th anniversary release. Today we are featuring the stamp set Decorate the Tree and creative cuts. I adore this set so much. The big tree is wonderful for surrounding with the cute characters and adding the garlands.

I stamped my images and colored with copic markers before cutting out with the coordinating dies. While planning my scene, I decided on some festive foiled paper as the background. I cut a snowy hillside to layer on the bottom half, and used the new large Marquee Letters creative cuts to spell out Jolly on the bottom with gold glitter cardstock.

I thoughtfully arranged my colored images as the focus of my scene and added small white highlights and glittery Wink of Stella to some of the images. To finish this off, I added two word bubbles from Let’s Chat Creative Cuts and the tiny typed sentiments are from an old set called Let’s Go Caroling.

Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight Wonders of Winter

Hello crafty friends! Mama Elephant is celebrating their 11th anniversary and today we are featuring the Wonders of Winter  Stamps and Creative Cuts. This background stamp set is especially lovely to help create the background of any scene. It features some snowy hillsides, a trio of birch tree trunks, and a little cabin on a hill.

I wanted to make a winter pond scene, and I thought the snowy hillside would be perfect to create a snowbank. I stamped the snowy hillside and colored it with COPIC markers. After die cutting, I rotated it upside down and layered it over an aqua inked panel that I would as my pond. I gently inked the new sky portion, then splattered with aqua ink. Next, I heat embossed the birch trees with white embossing powder on kraft cardstock and layered the die cut tree trunks over my inked pond.

I stamped some adorable critters from the Snow Friends stamp set and arranged them onto the scene after heat embossing a holiday sentiment from the same sentiment into the sky. I centered my scene onto some plaid paper and finished it off with a few glittery snowflakes and a pair of little fluffy clouds.

I think this set is very versatile and I hope that you head over to the Mama Elephant blog and Instagram feed too see the incredible inspiration from the entire Design Team.

Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight Capybara Christmas

Hello crafty friends. I’m so happy to be a part of Mama Elephants spectacular 11th birthday celebration release. Today we are kicking off the stamp highlights with the Capybara Christmas  stamps and Creative Cuts (CC). I really think this set is so cute and I especially love that they are themed with Christmas accessories making them perfect for fun and playful  holiday cards.

I combined these adorable images with the new Sweet Shop Frame CC that has the sweetest tiny scallop edge detail, a candy mint and a set of tags. I also added a layered bow from the Mini Bow Box CC set.

After stamping out the images I colored everything with COPIC markers and cut out using the coordinating Creative Cuts. I added small white highlights then adhered them onto my Sweet Shop frame that I cut out twice and glued together. I arranged the images towards the bottoms so my embossed sentiment would be visible. Then I added my pink inkblended bow. I finished this off by layering over some bright plaid-like patterned paper and adding few star sequins.

Pretty Pink Posh Holiday Week

Hello crafty friends! Today I’m very excited to be participating in the Pretty Pink Posh Holiday Week! I just love creating with Pretty Pink Posh products, I really appreciate the cute illustrations and how wonderfully the stamp sets coordinate with previously released products. The cute Christmas Boxcard that I’m sharing today has a blend of Holiday sets from present to past.

I built this boxcard with mint colored cardstock and some patterned papers that have red, pink, green, and mint. For the background panel, I inkblended some pretty pink shades and splattered with water and white ink. Then I used the Layered Snowflake stencils  to create a pink and white blizzard which includes some  raised embossed snowflakes.

I like to focus my coloring, to match with my papers, so that it all feels themed. I stamped many images from Happy Santa and Reindeer Friends. After coloring the images and using the coordinating die cuts to perfectly cut my images, I added small white dot highlights. I adhered my images throughout the layers of my boxcard making sure that none were completely hidden. Then I heat embossed some snowflakes on vellum and tucked them into the scene on skinny acetate strips so they look like actual snowfall.

To finish off the boxcard, I used gold embossing powder for the scripty “Joy” sentiment from the new Pine Wreath stamp set (I love that it has a coordinating die!) and mounted it onto a white banner that reads “to the world” from an older Joy stamp set. I think the bright red cardstock really packs a punch for the front.

Finally, I stamped my sentiment onto the back and added a few little details and one more reindeer to make this beautiful from all angles. I hope that you enjoy this festive and bright card, make sure that you visit the the PPP shop to see the incredible products and take advantage of all of the holiday deals!

Mama Elephant Stamp Highlights Joyful Greeting

Hello crafty friends! I’m so happy to be participating with the Mama Elephant team once again. Todays “Stamp Highlight” is the wonderful Holiday sentiment set called Joyful Greetings. This tasteful and pretty set is full of Christmas messages that would be perfect for the front of a card or even the inside message. Each sentiment has a coordinating die so you can place the sentiment over a busy background like I have with my “Jolly” card.

I wanted a soft yet bold background for this gingerbread man filled card, so I used alcohol inks on white photo paper for a textured looking background. I created a postcard frame using the Postage Frame Creative Cuts and fit my inky background inside. I stamped and cut images from the Gingerbread Cookies Stamp set using brown ink soft pastel Christmas colors.

I finished this card by stamping my “Joyful Greeting” with Taupe ink and centering in the top of my card. I really love the results and think that these sentiments will coordinate well with any holiday themed stamp set.

Please make sure to head over to the Mama Elephant Blog to see the inspiration from the entire DT for all of the amazing new products. You won’t want to miss out on the sale and free item promotions!

Mama Elephant Stamp Highlights Busy Elves

Hello crafty friends! Today I’m honored to be participating in the Mama Elephant Anniversary Stampede. The “Stamp Highlights” begin today and and we are showcasing the cutest elves around from the set called Busy Elves. These adorable images are beautifully illustrated and just as cute as their smaller counterparts from the Little Elf Agenda set.

I stamped and colored these cuties using brown ink and pastel Christmas colors like pink, coral, mint, and yellow. I assembled my images on top of some glittery snowy hillsides with a die cut snowy background using the Galactic Cover Creative Cuts.

In my soft pink sky I adhered a large sentiment that stamped with Everything Nice stamp set, I love that they have coordinating dies to make these sentiments really stand out. And over some of the busy elves I placed sentiments from the set, in little word bubbles.

Head on over to the Mama Elephant website for all of the details about their anniversary specials and the freebie sets that are available with purchase. There is so much cuteness that you want to miss out.  Thank you for stopping by, Davina

I’m so honored to be participating with the Mama Elephant team and this gorgeous holiday release. I created a fun winter wonderland using the new Busy Elves Stamps that I nestled into a soft pink pop up boxcard. I created the 3D Pop Up Box  with sturdy colored cardstock that I layered with fun patterned papers and images. I stamped my elves with brown ink before coloring with copic markers and assembling them into the inserts. On the front flap I used my favorite Everything Nice Sentiment Stamps that have the best coordinating dies, and paired it with one of the cute images.

Heffy Doodle & Miss Ink Collaberation

Hello crafty friends. Today we are celebrating a fun collaboration between two of my favorite brands. Welcome to the Heffy Doodle and Miss Ink Stamps Collaboration Blog Hop! Design team members from both teams are sharing some crafty inspiration using products from both companies! Plus, both stores will be giving away prizes!

I made a Candy Cane forest, complete with coffee sipping Gnomes, who look comfy cozy in their Christmas pajamas. I love how the bright bold colors look on top of the glittery snowy hillside. I began by choosing some patterned paper to pull my colors from. Then, I inkblended the mint and aqua sky in the upper half of a Bristol paper panel. I splattered with water and perfect pearls before using some gold glitter embossing paste with the Twinkle Twinkle Stencil from Heffy Doodle.

While that dried, I stamped my gnomes from Miss Ink Stamps Coffee Gnomes, and the candy canes and trees from Heffy Doodles Elfish, Wanna Build a Snowman, and Santa’s Village. I used copic markers to color all of my images, and highlighted with small white dots after diecutting. Next, I trimmed two glittery cardstock hillsides using Slopey Joes  stitched dies from Heffy Doodle. I adhered the two layers together, then mounted them over the embossed background panel using foam tape. I tucked my trees and candy canes around the top leaving space for my Gnomes in the center. I heat embossed the sentiment from Miss Ink Stamps Season’s Greetings onto a red cardstock banner, then glued it at the bottom. I mounted this scene onto a small green layer before securing it to the patterned paper and cardbase.

I really love how well these two brands blended and hope that you think outside of the box, and blend your crafty supplies at home. It is something I don’t do often enough but I think it’s well past time for me to get mixing!

Make sure to comment along the way for your chance to win! Miss Ink Stamps will be giving away $25 and Heffy Doodle will be giving away £25 to their respective stores!
