I started by cutting a piece of white cardstock using some Lawn Fawn Cross-Stitch layers. Then I stamped a navy starry sky using the Avery Elle Starry Scene and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide ink. Once I stamped it several times and achieved even coverage, I splattered some glittery and white ink onto the stamped image.
Next, I stamped my images onto Neenah solar white classic crest, then colored them with copic markers in shades of the Moodboard colors. I tried to get a lot of variation using only the four color families, and only added skin and hair tones. After die cutting the images I mounted the 3 main images onto fun foam for extra dimension. Then I used small white dots for highlights.
I stamped the sentiment across the bottom and added some of the sparkle images in light aqua ink. Then I adhered my stamped images on top of the starry sky to create a simple scene. I rarely leave my backgrounds white like this, and I love how great it looks layered over the purple striped paper.
These colors look so incredible together and I can’t wait to try them on everything I make this month! I hope that you are inspired to use this color board and use the #brimoodboard so we can find your project.
